A Clear Sunday for Markets, Art and a Milestone Show
Your daily guide to what's popping in Chicago
By Raj Singh · Published October 18, 2026.
It's a clear, cool Sunday in Chicago — about 59 degrees with no rain in the forecast — an easy day to drift between a market, a gallery and a show. Here's where we'd point you, starting with tonight and looking out across the week.
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 18
Digable Planets – Blowout Comb 30th Anniversary Tour @ Metro
Digable Planets bring their Blowout Comb 30th Anniversary Tour to the Metro tonight, a show built around the album that shares its name. Music starts at 7 p.m. at the longtime Clark Street venue — a deep catalog in a room that suits it.
Chicago Artisan Market – Fulton Market @ Morgan MFG
The Chicago Artisan Market returns to Morgan MFG in Fulton Market today for one of its six indoor Sunday markets, with more than 115 Chicago and Midwest makers selling food, fashion, home goods and art under one roof. The building itself is a former manufacturing hall that pre-dates the Great Chicago Fire of 1871 — worth a look on its own.
It runs 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $8 for one or $20 for four, kids under 12 get in free, and the market is dog-friendly.
Bears vs Falcons at The Bottle @ Empty Bottle
The Empty Bottle hands its room over to the Bears–Falcons game today, kicking off at noon — a low-key way to spend an NFL Sunday in Ukrainian Village, no stadium ticket required.
Frames of Hope Photo Exhibit @ Lofty Wicker Park
Frames of Hope is a photo exhibit at Lofty Wicker Park built entirely from images made by Deaf children and teens living in the Dadaab Refugee Complex and Aftit Refugee Camp. Shot on digital and disposable cameras and printed on metal, the show hands the lens to an often-overlooked group rather than photographing them from the outside.
It's open 1 to 5 p.m. today, and the $45 ticket includes regional coffee, tea and sweets from East Africa and the Middle East.
MONDAY, OCTOBER 19
Women's Circle Chicago @ Yoga Body Elements
Monday's nudge is a quieter one: Women's Circle Chicago, a monthly gathering in Uptown built around ceremonial cacao, song and shared intention-setting. It's facilitated by Cindy Huston of Yoga Body Elements, with a guest leader each month.
It meets Monday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at 4007 N. Broadway. Drop-in is $25, and an online option is available if you'd rather join from home.
THIS WEEK
Ping Tom Goes Pink @ Tom (Ping) Memorial Park
On Tuesday, Tom (Ping) Memorial Park in Chinatown hosts Ping Tom Goes Pink, a Breast Cancer Awareness evening centered on a 45-minute mat Pilates class led by a Chicago Park District instructor, plus a raffle and breast-cancer information and resources. Attendees are encouraged to wear pink.
It runs 7 to 8 p.m. and costs $5.
Oktoberfest Nation @ Fulton Market
Looking further out, Oktoberfest Nation bills itself as Chicago's largest Oktoberfest, set behind Restaurant Row at 171 N. Peoria St. in Fulton Market. Expect Hofbräu München beer imported from Germany, Bavarian pretzels and brats, live German music and carnival games.
Its upcoming dates run Thursday through Saturday, Oct. 22–24, with tickets starting at $15.
