MONDAY 7/27

Millennium Park Summer Music Series @ Jay Pritzker Pavilion

Aterciopelados, La Rosa Noir and Lumpen Radio DJs headline a free 6:30pm night on the Pritzker lawn. Rain's in the forecast, so pack a poncho — and grab a wood-oven torta from Xoco on Clark before you settle in.

Free Museum Day @ Museum of Contemporary Art

Illinois residents get in free every Tuesday, and the MCA stays open till 9pm — a perfect drizzly-afternoon plan in Streeterville. Cap it with something off the plancha at Marisol, the museum's own restaurant.

An Evening with Ben Folds @ Jay Pritzker Pavilion

The genre-bending piano man plays the Pritzker at 6:30pm — free, though the good lawn spots fill early. Line up a pre-show Italian beef from Al's #1 on the way in.

Lollapalooza @ Grant Park
