America@250 — Now Is the Time: Artists Go to Work @ Court Theatre
At Court Theatre, Now Is the Time: Artists Go to Work marks the country's 250th year — a reckoning with the Declaration of Independence and, as Toni Morrison framed it, the stories a nation has the courage to face.
THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 5
Goodnight Moon Exhibition at Griffin Museum of Science and Industry
Step into the Great Green Room: this immersive exhibit turns Margaret Wise Brown's bedtime classic into a walk-through world and looks at the science behind sleep, dreams and lunar cycles. Admission is $17.
SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 7
Christmas Around the World and Holidays of Light
The Griffin Museum of Science and Industry's holiday tradition returns Saturday: a four-story Grand Tree ringed by more than 50 trees representing Chicago communities, with the Holidays of Light display honoring Chinese New Year, Diwali, Kwanzaa, Ramadan, Hanukkah and more. It's included with museum admission and runs into early January.
