16th edition of Chicago's biggest electronic music festival, September 4–6, 2026 at SeatGeek Stadium in Bridgeview (NOT in Chicago city — same venue as Summer Smash, ~30 min from downtown). 75+ DJs across 6 stages over 3 days. Phase 1 lineup: FISHER, Porter Robinson (DJ set), Levity B2B Tape B, Dabin, Drama (DJ set), Jade Cicada, TroyBoi, Wuki, Ganja White Night, GRiZ, Holy Priest, Wooli, Bunt, Crankdat, Gryffin, Illenium B2B Slander, and many more. House, dubstep, future bass, trap.

Tickets

Ticketed 17+ event. Buy through the official North Coast/Eventim links. Ticket tiers include GA, GA+, VIP, and higher-end packages; parking, shuttles, lockers, ferris wheel rides, and some add-ons are separate. Set times are not posted yet.

Transit

Same as Summer Smash — SeatGeek Stadium is at 7000 S. Harlem in Bridgeview, no CTA. Festival shuttle from downtown is the official move (sells out, buy with ticket). Driving: Stevenson (I-55) to Harlem south; lot parking $40+. Rideshare drop-off zone backs up post-festival.

Bag policy

Strict EDM-festival policy: small clear bags only (under specified size), no professional cameras, no outside food/drink, no aerosols, no chains, no umbrellas, no totems above shoulder height in some areas. Full search at entry.

Family-friendly

Not. 17+ event with intense crowds, late-night heavy bass, and EDM-festival energy. Strollers will be a hazard. Older teens with chaperones do attend but it's a young-adult crowd.

History

North Coast Music Festival launched in 2010 at Union Park in Chicago, originally blending electronic, hip-hop, jam, and rock across a Labor Day weekend — earning the tagline "Summer's Last Stand." After a stint at Huntington Bank Pavilion on Northerly Island in 2019 and a COVID-forced hiatus in 2020, the festival relocated to SeatGeek Stadium in Bridgeview (2021), where six stages — including an air-conditioned indoor dome — now host 75-plus artists. The 2026 edition marks North Coast's 16th year.

Local tips

  1. Do not treat this like a city festival. Bridgeview logistics are the experience: shuttle, parking pass, battery pack, and a clean plan home.
  2. Set times are explicitly still pending, so hold off on making conflict decisions until North Coast posts the official schedule.
  3. GA+ can be worth it for bathrooms and faster entry if the forecast is hot or your group hates lines.
  4. If you are choosing between ARC and North Coast: ARC is house/techno city lineage; North Coast is bigger-room EDM, bass, and production spectacle.
  5. Buy parking in advance if driving. SeatGeek Stadium weekends punish last-minute planners.
