What to expect
24th 'Tour of Arts & Industry' on Ravenswood Ave from Lawrence to Irving Park, September 12–13, 2026, 11 a.m.–6 p.m. both days. The corridor's working studios and ex-industrial loft spaces open to the public — open studios with artists at work, gallery pop-ups, performance activations, an outdoor market with 80+ local makers, two music stages, a pop-up beer garden, kids' activities, food trucks. The Greater Ravenswood Chamber's signature event, and one of the most authentic 'meet the artist' experiences in Chicago.
Tickets
Free to attend; donation requested. Special workshops or individual venue programming may have separate sign-up or capacity rules, so check venue listings before building the day around one studio.
Transit
Brown Line to Damen, Montrose, or Lawrence — all three stops are at the festival corridor. Metra Union Pacific North line to Ravenswood drops at Lawrence right at the fest. The 50 Damen and 81 Lawrence buses both serve the corridor. Driving works on Sunday but Saturday street parking fills.
Bag policy
No formal bag check; ID at beer garden.
Family-friendly
Strong family programming — kids' art activities programmed throughout, several artist studios specifically welcome kids, and the Ravenswood corridor is wide-sidewalk stroller-friendly. Restrooms at participating studios and the Lillstreet Art Center on Ravenswood. The Ravenswood Sculpture Garden along the corridor is a kid-magnet between studio stops.
Local tips
- Start at Lillstreet Art Center, then branch out. It is the easy anchor, but the industrial/workshop stops are the reason to stay.
- Follow the official venue list once posted; this event rewards a route, not random wandering.
- Sunday is the better conversation day if you want to talk process with artists rather than only shop.
- The donation ask supports Greater Ravenswood Chamber programming; frame it as requested support, not admission.
- Bring a tote and wear walking shoes. The corridor stretches more than first-time visitors expect.
